This is the first lawn tractor in the 84cm sub category to feature the innovative twin bladed cutting system. The blades contra rotate, and direct the grass cuttings through the wide rear discharge chute into the collector. This system of a twin bladed deck ensures a smoother and neater finish than the single one. You will notice that grass collection is cleaner and more powerful and this is due to the direct centre rear discharge, in conjunction with the throw and air volume generated by two blades. The cutting result is also visibly improved as a twin bladed deck follows the ground contours more efficiently which means the grass is much less likely to be scalped by the blades.
 
To engage the cutting blades you pull out the switch handily located on the dashboard; the electric clutch does the rest. Turning off the blades is equally easy, you just push in the switch to engage a brake which stops the blades within 3 seconds.
 
Mountfield have somehow managed to produce a hard working lawn tractor with a generous 84cm cutting width that will fit easily through a standard 3ft garden gate. Fitted with a reliable Mountfield 414cc ST 400 engine you can be assured of plenty of power when you need it. The semi-hydrostatic transmission works in the same way as an automatic car, it really is that simple. The harder you press the responsive pedal the faster you will go. To reverse you simply press the back of the pedal. Changing gear from forward to reverse is smooth and makes maneuvering around garden obstacles a breeze.
 
The class leading Mountfield 1530H lawn tractor has 7 preset cutting heights and these range from 25mm to 80mm. This ensures your lawn tractor is ready to cope with any length of grass you need it for. The large capacity 240 litre grass collector features a buzzer alarm to let you know when the bag needs emptying and this can be done from the comfort of the driving seat. Simply reverse up to your compost heap, pull the lever and the bag will tip the grass out and you can be back to your mowing quickly and with no problems at all.
 
If you decide to mulch, then you can easily attach the optional mulching plug that can be purchased separately. Instead of collecting in the 240 litre grass bag you can choose to return the grass to your lawn where it will act as a nutrient rich fertilizer. You will save money as there will be no need to buy additional fertilizing products as the mulched grass will be rich in everything your lawn needs to look green and lush. Mountfield suggest if you don’t collect your grass then you can save around 30% of your time which can be spent on other tasks.
 
Featuring a quick connect washing link, keeping your Mountfield 1530H lawn tractor clean and free from loose dirt and stuck on grass has never been easier. Simply attach your garden hose and allow the powerful jet of water do the hard work for you. A tow bar is available as an additional extra which enables this lawn tractor to be as versatile as possible.
