The Stiga Tornado 398M is a new side-discharge lawn tractor from Stiga and offers the perfect solution for those who do not wish to collect grass clippings.
 
The Stiga Tornado 398M ride-on mower can be used with the side discharge function or the mulching system with the optional mulching kit. The mower is powered by a single-cylinder Stiga engine with net power of 6.5 kW @ 2800 rpm and has a mechanical drive, 98cm cutting deck with two synchronised blades, anti-scalp wheels, seven cutting height settings ranging from 25 to 80 mm and an electromagnetic blade engagement clutch. The Tornado 398M features a soft-grip steering wheel and comfortable seat.
 
The Stiga Tornado 398M is a sturdy compact tractor with a 98cm deck, which offers the perfect solution for those who do not wish to collect grass clippings. In tall growth conditions the side discharge mode neatly cuts and spreads the grass so it can be left to wilt naturally. For areas that are being mown on a more regular basis the mulching function cuts and re-cuts the grass into small particles that disappear into the turf, returning valuable nutrients to the soil.
 
This model is covered by a 3 year manufacturer's warranty and with 7 heights of cut, from 25-80mm, a great finish is assured.

You may well ask “Will I see the mulched grass?” and the answer is “No!” Mulched clippings are blown down into the turf and are not noticeable, provided the grass is cut regularly and not on the lowest setting.
