For your comfort and safety the brake system has been expertly integrated into the electric engine system; there is no brake pedal. Simple release the transmission pedal and the tractor will stop automatically. This innovative feature means that if your foot leaves the pedal for any reason, the ride-on lawn tractor will stop. This is an easy system to use and also reduces the risks of accident or injury. The adjustable seat also holds a circuit breaker - so if you should leave your seat for any reason the engine cuts out. The bumper will protect the lawn tractor from any little bumps and also protects the operator at the same time. The LED lights add an extra layer of protection for when you are working in fading light or even foggy conditions. This should give you peace of mind and allow you to work without a care in the world!
 
The Stiga 398e ride on tractor is a powerful and hard working machine. It features a 1.2kW transaxle motor, which can achieve speeds of up to 9 km/h and together with the two cutting blade motors that total 3 kw, which are free from belts, pulleys and expensive maintenance will ensure that every mowing session is a pleasure, rather than a chore. With a reverse mowing function you can be assured of reaching all those awkward areas in your garden with the greatest of ease.
 
You can choose from using the side discharge function or attaching the mulching kit which is supplied as standard. The side discharge option allows you to discharge the cuttings as you mow, leaving them in neat lines on your lawn. If conditions allow, you may choose to mulch instead. Thanks to the multiclip system the mulched grass will be returned to your grass where it will sit barely noticed and act as a nutrient rich fertilizer, ensuring your lawn stays lush and healthy.

A 48v 30 AH battery kit is included, which includes the 48v lithium-ion battery and a standard Stiga battery charger. The battery takes around 6 hours to fully charge, but a fast charger can be purchased additionally.
